My photographic journey began in Middle School. My father gave me a camera and taught me how to use it. I took a liking to it, honed my skills, and got hired as a photographer by the local newspaper before I was old enough to drive.

For the last 45 years I’ve worked as a photojournalist. I’ve covered local, regional and national events including automobile events (Houston Grand Prix, Long Beach Grand Prix, Pebble Beach Concours), sailboat racing (Melges 20 Winter Series, A Scow National Championship) and golf (Ryder Cup, US Amateur). Several years ago, my photography literally took off with the addition of aerial photography. In 2020 we published a book highlighting the aerial beauty and character of Lake Minnetonka as well as numerous puzzles featuring our images.

In 2017, my sailing crossed paths with Peter Hurley, an outstanding sailor and the world’s premier headshot photographer. Peter helped me understand that a superior headshot can be an absolute differentiator, potentially opening new doors and positively impacting both professional and personal lives. I was totally hooked! I began my laser-focused journey to create the best, most beautiful and impactful headshots. My work has been lauded by clients and colleagues here and abroad. In 2019 I was awarded Associate Status by Mr. Hurley, a designation reserved for the very top echelon of headshot artists.
